On July 14-15, 1999, UH-IPM organized
its third annual Statewide Extension Agents Conference on
IPM. This year's conference was held at the UH
Hilo-Komohana Agricultural complex. UH IPM in
collaboration with the UH Water Quality Program provided
agents with project updates and information on impact
reporting and grant funding opportunities. A total of
thirty extension agents and faculty members attended the
conference. Participants commented that the meeting
successfully increased agent development, provided
opportunity to network and exchange information and
resources, enhanced technology transfer, and offered new
pest management alternatives.
